Ryan Rippentrop, a native of north-central Iowa, was baptized and confirmed in the United Methodist Church (UMC). He holds a business management degree from Simpson College and has experience in banking, tax preparation, and various financial roles. Recently, Ryan moved to Des Moines to take on the position of full-time office manager at First UMC in downtown Des Moines. He has previously served as a church treasurer, bookkeeper, office administrator, and communications director for several churches.

Ryan’s two daughters live with their mother, who resides north of the metro area. In his limited spare time, he enjoys playing the piano, singing, traveling, and working on DIY projects. He also has a passion for historical architectural tours.
